This Privacy Policy explains how Catalyst Hedge Fund Marketing LLC (“Catalyst,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with the Capital Formation Intelligence platform at capitalformation.ai (the “Platform”). It applies to applicants, account holders, and visitors. The Platform is intended for financial professionals and their firms; it is a business-to-business service and is not directed to consumers or to children. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.
We use information to: operate, maintain, and secure the Platform; conduct the Founder Interview and generate your content; process payments and manage subscriptions; communicate with you about your account, support requests, and service updates; and improve the Platform’s performance and output quality. We use information consistent with the consent you provide when using the Platform and as described in this Policy.
Your inputs — interview answers, uploaded documents, edits, and prompts — are processed by artificial-intelligence models in order to produce your outputs, and are stored in your private workspace within the Platform. By using the Platform, you consent to this AI processing and storage for the purpose of generating content for your firm. Your inputs are not sold, are not shared with third parties for marketing purposes, and are not made accessible to other Platform users. Anonymized and aggregated patterns from inputs across users may be used to improve the Platform’s model performance, prompts, frameworks, and output quality. This is always anonymized and aggregated; your firm’s name, specific strategy details, numbers, and identifying content are never shared, sold, or made visible to other users or third parties.
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers (sub-processors) that help us operate the Platform, and only as needed for them to perform their services. Our current sub-processors include:
We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our agreements, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Catalyst, our users, or others. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
We retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Platform, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Upgrading from Starter to Professional preserves your existing project, brand, interview, Voice Profile, and all content.
If you downgrade from Professional to Starter, content created with Professional-only generators (such as fact sheets, newsletters, quarterly reports, one-pagers, and landing pages) remains viewable and downloadable for a grace period of 30 days following the downgrade; after that period, such content is deleted if you have not returned to the Professional tier, while your Starter assets (brand identity and pitch deck) are retained. When you cancel, your Founder Interview record and Voice Profile are working materials of the Platform and do not transfer with you (see Section 7 and the Terms of Service). You may request deletion of your information as described in Section 8, subject to legal retention requirements.
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit and at rest and access controls limiting who can access data. Your Founder Interview record and Voice Profile source files are stored and served server-side only and are not exposed to the client or downloadable, which also protects the Platform’s intellectual property. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. For more detail, see our Security page.
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update much of your account information directly in your settings. To make a privacy or data-rights request, contact us at legal@catalysthfm.com. We will respond consistent with applicable law. You may also opt out of marketing communications using the unsubscribe link in those messages; we will still send service and account-related communications.
The Platform uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the service, remember your preferences, and understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings. For details, see our Cookie Policy (coming soon).
If you access the Platform from outside the United States, you understand that your information is processed in the United States and other locations where our sub-processors operate. Depending on your jurisdiction, additional rights may apply under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act. Additional detail will be provided on our dedicated GDPR page (coming soon).
The Platform is a business service intended for financial professionals and is not directed to children under the age of eighteen. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Effective date” and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Platform after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
This Privacy Policy and any dispute relating to it are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, consistent with the Terms of Service.
